Dilfer will be one of five main stage speakers at this year’s Recreation & Sports Ministry Conference that will take place August 26-28 at the Upward Star Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Spartanburg, SC - March 13, 2015 - RecSpo15, also known as the Recreation and Sports Ministry Conference, announced that former NFL quarterback, Trent Dilfer, has signed on as one the guest speakers at this year’s event.
The now ESPN NFL analyst joins the conference’s speaker list that includes Todd Gongwer (author of LEAD…for God’s Sake), Pastor Dave Stone (Southeast Christian Church, Louisville, KY - the 7th largest church in the U.S.), Caz McCaslin (Upward Sports founder and president), and a sports panel consisting of current and former NCAA Division 1 men’s and women’s basketball coaches.
Leading worship for all three days will be former American Idol season six finalist, Phil Stacey.
Attendees will also be able to view the world premiere of the upcoming film, Woodlawn, which follows the true story of Tony Nathan, the first African American to play at the University of Alabama. Prior to the showing, Nathan will be joined on stage by his portraying actor, Caleb Castille, for an exclusive Q&A session.
