2015 Marks the Eighth Consecutive Year Receiving the Accolade for the Organization
Spartanburg, SC - January 19, 2015 - For the eighth consecutive year, Upward Sports has been recognized as one of the world’s Best Christian Workplaces by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI). The 19-year-old youth athletics organization was one of 48 workplaces to earn the honor for 2015, according to the results of a survey announced in early January.
Upward Sports is comprised of 96 team members in Spartanburg, SC, and led by founder and president Caz McCaslin, who is honored by the recognition. “Our mission at Upward Sports is promoting the discovery of Jesus through sports—a goal we would be unable to work towards without a great team of talented and engaged staff,” he said. “Our values and culture are focused on serving young athletes and families with excellence and integrity. To be recognized by BCWI encourages us to continue what we’re doing right, and always strive to improve.”
Upward Sports is the world’s largest Christian sports organization for youth athletics, serving athletes from grades K-12 and across all competitive levels. During the past 19 years, more than 5 million young athletes and 1 million leaders have been involved with the program.
Now in its 12th year, BCWI distributes surveys across the globe to employees of churches, Christian schools, parachurch organizations, missions groups, and media companies, among others. The employee feedback generated by the survey is presented back to company leadership by BCWI with the intention of helping each company learn and improve workplace culture.
